The Entry Level Suburbs ($530,000 to $600,000)

It can be surprising for a Sydney and Melbourne person, but it is possible to purchase a house in Brisbane within the mentioned budget! And in this budget and location, Keperra and Chermside West are the best options. These suburbs are located around 9 to 10km from Brisbane CBD (farthest of our recommend suburbs). If you are looking to get closer, many good suburbs are located around 6 to 7km from the Brisbane CBD. In this location and budget, Cannon Hill will be the best option in Brisbane. Again, this place has owner occupiers around 70%. This suburb is considered a perfect location for a family want to have access to green space, good schools, a bus and train line and other employment hubs. Cannon Hill is also is also the closest southern suburb to get advantage from the precinct expansion of Brisbane Airport. It also saw around 30% growth (on average) over the last five years.

Other Options: Holland Park, Tarragindi, Toowong and Kedron

The Top Level Suburbs (Starting from $800,000+)

Suburbs that are within the 5km ring have resemblance with the suburbs from some of the southern capitals. However, there is one suburb that will still offer you some additional value, and it is Ashgrove. It is located around 4km from the Brisbane CBD and has an exceptional reputation for being a well-liked family suburb. Some of the best and most highly sought-after schools of Brisbane are scattered throughout Ashgrove’s streets. The walking paths and tracks have plenty of green space. Adding to that the trouble-free access to shops and other essential places make it an excellent and highly recommended place. This place has seen more than 36% growth in the last five years.
